The security sector ranks among the critical infrastructure areas of modern economies—yet it simultaneously faces a fundamental transformation. Despite its substantial market volume, the industry remains, to this day, largely characterized by hardware-centric systems that are complex to install and offer only limited flexibility. While other industries have already successfully transitioned to digital platforms and software-based architectures, this transformation has, until now, only just begun within the field of security technology.

In Europe alone, the market for intrusion detection systems accounts for an annual volume of approximately 1.6 billion euros, while fire detection systems represent about 5 billion euros. Added to this is the growing market for mobile security solutions—specifically for delivery and recreational vehicles—valued at around 1.5 billion euros, covering a fleet of over 30 million delivery vehicles and approximately 6 million recreational vehicles. These markets offer significant growth potential; however, from a technological standpoint, they have not yet been fully digitized.

This is where Direct-Smarter Technology (DST) steps in.

DST is developing a software-based security platform that unifies fire detection, intrusion detection, and mobile vehicle security within a single, cohesive digital system architecture.

Through direct connectivity to mobile devices, continuous software updates (OTA), and the integration of intelligent sensor technology, solutions are created that are significantly easier to install, more flexible in application, and sustainably scalable.

Over the past five years, DST has consistently invested in research and development, bringing three independent systems to market maturity: SmokeTab (fire detection technology), AlarmTab (intrusion detection technology), and CarPro-Tec (mobile security).

All products are built upon a common technological foundation: software rather than hardware, digital visualization instead of static alarm notifications, and a platform architecture that can be continuously expanded.

This development phase was accompanied by extensive field testing within the market. During this process, DST generated cumulative revenue of approximately 1.9 million euros and gained valuable insights regarding product-market fit and scalability.

Today, the company stands at the transition point between the development phase and the growth phase.

DST’s objective is to establish itself as a leading provider of software-based security platforms in Europe. Through the expansion of distribution partnerships, internationalization, and the scaling of existing products, DST addresses a large market that remains insufficiently digitized.
